Our Team
Thrasher Comeau Architecture was created from the legacy of Sy Richards, Architect Inc. Founding partner Ken Thrasher joined Sy Richard in 1986 and became the sole stockholder upon Mr. Richard’s retirement in 2009. While the name may be different, the experience and philosophy remain the same.
The Legacy
The original firm was founded in 1967, incorporated in in Georgia in 1969, and has been in continuous operationon since inceptionon. Ken Thrasher joined the firm in 1986. He became a stockholder and officer of the company in 1993. In January of 2009, Mr. Thrasher assumed the leadership of the firm at the retirement of Mr. Richards.

Worked for a architectural firm in Baton Rouge on a part-time basis while attending college. After graduation continued to work with the same firm for an additional 2.5 years. Work included design and creation of construction documents for housing, commercial, churches and industrial projects.
Associated with Sy Richards, Architect Inc. since November of 1986. Became a stockholder and officer of the company in 1993. Became the sole stockholder in 2009 at the retirement of Mr. Richards. Work has included the design and creation of construction documents with a focus on educational assignments.
Along with Mr. Thrasher’s broad educational design experience, he has developed specialized expertise in design of special education facilities, food service facilities, media centers and science laboratories.

Worked for Gamble Architects, a small AIA award winning residential architectural design firm in Midtown Atlanta while attending college. Upon undergraduate graduation went to work for the Office of University Architects at the University of Georgia. (OUA) After a year at the University, went into Graduate studies working as a graduate assistant for Building Technology classes at Georgia Institute of Technology. After earning a Master’s degree in Architecture, went to work for Carter Watkins Associates Architects, Inc. (CWA) While employed for over 14 years at CWA, handled all aspects of project development and administra)on.
After leaving CWA, started his own design firm, PAC Architects Inc., providing architectural, planning, and consul)ng services for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects of varying scales for private owners and municipali)es.
Associated with Sy Richards, Architect Inc. since 2015.
Corina Lee
Senior Designer
Over 22 years of Professional Architectural Experience, which began with working for various architectural firms in Brazil designing and draGing residen)al, mul)-family housing, interiors, furniture, commercial, and light industrial projects.
Has been associated with Sy Richards, Architect Inc. since 1993. Responsibili)es have included work on Preliminary, Schema)c, Design Development and Construc)on Documents for all size projects; field inves)ga)ons, submi3al review, and interior design. Has also contributed to the acous)cal design of theater and auditorium projects.
Kimberly Nicholson
Executive Assistant
Worked for a general contractor in Atlanta on a part-time basis while a ending college. After graduation continued to work with the same firm for an additional two years. Responsibilities included project management, estimating, and scheduling. Company worked in residential renovation and light commercial, specializing in church construction.
Worked as a building inspector for nearly five years. During this time was certified as a structural inspector for both residential and commercial construction and a plumbing and mechanical inspector for residential construction. Responsibilities included plan review for ADA compatibility.
Has worked with Sy Richards, Architect, Inc. for seven years. Responsibilities have included construction administration, field investigations, submittal review, and review of contractor pay applications. Has also contributed to writing of specifications.
